"Everyone has their favorite Chinese place. If it isn't this one, you're wrong. Simply put, this is the greatest Chinese place in the area. This might be the greatest Chinese place ever. Sure, it's got the typical hallmarks of the industry: the twenty year-old pastel wallpaper, the conspicuously empty fish tank, the soothing orchestral music that you swear is the soundtrack to something but you can't remember what. But I assure you: North Garden is fundamentally different than anywhere you've ever been.First off, you've got Ray, the owner. Here's a guy who will make the hell out of a scorpion bowl. Call the Uber in advance. Drinking away your loneliness? Try the suffering bastard. It's like a scorpion bowl but for degenerates. Looking for something to pair with the beef-and-broccoli? Get a zombie; it doesn't pair well with anything, but you won't remember it anyway.Secondly, this place serves food...lots of food. The portions are enormous and a tremendous value. There's a nice half-wall running around the restaurant so the functional public can't see you eating a metric s#&t-load of boneless spare ribs while sobbing silently. And everything is clean.Next time you're craving fast and inexpensive Chinese food, give North Garden a try."

"Very pleasing meal had by our group of 4 I have only been to this restaurant a handful of times in the past 20 years but it was a great choice after seeing a movie across the street. We had a wonderful meal with great service by a veteran waitress on Christmas Day. Loved all of our dishes and particularly was impressed by delicious spare ribs, just like I had growing up. Main courses were not too salty or greasy. Very generous portions and quick service but the decor is extremely dated. Still the food was excellent and we trusted the quality of food. I would definitely return."
